Sindm\u00f3veis Bento Gon\u00e7alves is competing for the 5th Apex-Brasil Award for Excellence in Export. Exploring the theme The Brazil that inspires the world, the initiative recognizes and rewards companies and bodies in the manufacturing, retail \u00a0and service sectors which excelled in exports or developed innovative action plans, contributing to the active inclusion of Brazil in the international market.\u00a0 Competing with the sector-based entities that are partners of the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), \u00a0Sindm\u00f3veis entered three innovative \u00a0action plans developed between \u00a02012 and 2013: the projects that were carried out \u00a0during Casa Brasil 2013 (Sal\u00e3o Design, special projects, including the buyer\u0092s and the image projects and international seminars); the design shows organized by the Orchestra Brasil Project held during the Miami Art Week in 2012 and 2013; and a permanent action plan to position and to add value to the Brazilian furniture aimed at the Colombian market. The program of Casa Brasil, held in August 2013, was considered innovative as it enhanced the convergence of designers and furniture manufacturers, in addition to promoting the Brazilian design in the international market. As a result, designers were included in the Orchestra Brasil Project, which has the support of Apex-Brasil and encourages the sustainable participation of suppliers of the furniture industry in the international market. The second project aimed to promote the image of Brazilian furniture designers combined with art, through the participation in concurrent exhibits during Design Miami and Art Basel in 2012 and 2013. In 2012 the show had the theme Casa Brasil Generation, for the first time bringing together the designers for a team exhibition focused on a particular theme – summer fashion 2013 thanks to a partnership with ABIT. The following year, the theme was Well-Being, Living Well featuring products selected by the curators of Casa Brasil and which were exhibited at Brazil ArtFair. The last entry competing for the award is the permanent project carried out in Colombia since January 2012, with a view to the sustainability of Brazilian companies in the market, innovation and the appreciation of Brazilian design. The initiative consists of different actions aimed at manufacturing companies and design in order to converge and promote in the Colombian market the Brazilian innovation, technology and creativity. With a number of initiatives that include the participation in fairs and hiring a marketing consultancy firm, the project conveys values to the market such as quality, competitiveness and credibility, focusing on positioning and adding value. The winners of the Apex-Brasil Award for Excellence in Export will be announced during the awards ceremony, on May 28, 2014, in S\u00e3o Paulo (SP). This recognition has existed since 2006 and is awarded every two years to those who, in the field of foreign trade, have been noted for outstanding contributions to the development of Brazil. In the last edition, Sindm\u00f3veis was a finalist competing with the Orchestra Brasil Miami showroom, consulting with local professionals for the participating companies.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
