Next Monday, March 12, the gates of the largest furniture fair in Latin America will be opened to shopkeepers and importers featuring \u00a0246 exhibiting companies expecting the resumption of the performance of the furniture industry.<\/p>\n<p>This number represents 5% more than in the last show held in 2016. Approximately 30,000 professional attendees are expected to visit the show, totaling 50 nationalities. The four-day show together and a series of concurrent projects will further boost business, such as the Buyer&#8217;s Project, with meetings focused on exports, and the Retail Project, which has challenged the exhibiting companies to develop specific products for the demands of Brazilian shopkeepers.<\/p>\n<p>Relevant topics for the furniture industry will be highlighted during the first Movelsul Brasil Forum, when the new retail models will be discussed in the three-day event of guest lectures. The president of the fair, Edson Pelicioli, points out that Sindm\u00f3veis believes that Movelsul Brasil is the opportunity for the economic resumption of the furniture industry.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;All economic sectors went through difficulties last year and we confronted delicate moments while planning the fair. In the face of all this, we are extremely pleased to start the fair having sold 100% of the available exhibition area&#8221;, he says. The governor of Rio Grande do Sul, Jos\u00e9 Ivo Sartori, has confirmed his presence at the fair official opening ceremony on March 12 at 2:30 pm. Sponsored by Sayerlack and Banrisul, Movelsul Brasil has been held since 1977 by Sindm\u00f3veis Bento Gon\u00e7alves.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The 21st furniture fair will have companies exhibiting furniture for the following environments<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Offices<\/li>\n<li>Kitchens<\/li>\n<li>Bedrooms<\/li>\n<li>Laundry rooms<\/li>\n<li>Bathrooms<\/li>\n<li>Gardens<\/li>\n<li>Living<\/li>\n<li>Dining rooms<\/li>\n<li>Rugs<\/li>\n<li>Upholstery<\/li>\n<li>Mattresses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><strong>Concurrent events held during the furniture fair<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h2># Buyer&#8217;s Project<\/h2>\n<p>Betting on the optimism of the furniture industry in relation to the international market, Movelsul Brasil is preparing the largest Buyer&#8217;s Project of its history for 2018. There will be 50 foreign shopkeepers and distributors invited to negotiate with approximately 120 Brazilian companies and designers in business meetings held during the fair.<\/p>\n<p>The initiative is supported by Apex-Brasil through two sector-based projects: Brazilian Furniture by Abim\u00f3vel and the Raiz Project by Sindm\u00f3veis. \u00a0<\/p>\n<h2># Retail Project<\/h2>\n<p>A unique initiative that challenged exhibitors to develop products signed by designers that meet the specific demands of the domestic retailer trade. Approximately 50 new products will be presented during the fair. In order to list these demands for innovation, product type and sales appeal, the Sindm\u00f3veis team conducted a qualitative research surveying some of the main store chains that buy from the furniture companies that exhibit at Moveslsul Brasil. \u00a0<\/p>\n<h2># Sal\u00e3o Design<\/h2>\n<p>Award The Sal\u00e3o Design Award, the largest product design award in Latin America, will present during Movelsul Brasil 2018 the finalists and the award-winning entries of this competition, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary organized by Sindm\u00f3veis Bento Gon\u00e7alves.<\/p>\n<p>This year the competition had some changes in its regulations. The traditional categories have been replaced with awards in the first, second and third places for each class &#8211; Student, Professional and Industry\/Retail. Three super-awards will also be given to the best products of this event. On a daily basis, the Sal\u00e3o Design Award booth will also feature talks about design and innovation. The award is sponsored by Berneck and Interprint. \u00a0<\/p>\n<h2># Movelsul Forum<\/h2>\n<p>Reinventing the retail trade All line consumption The generation of knowledge for the woodworking industry will be highlighted during Movelsul Brasil 2018 by the Movelsul Forum. With the theme Reinventing the retail trade &#8211; All line consumption, the event will have lectures on March 13, 14 and 15, always from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Centro Empresarial Bento Gon\u00e7alves (entrance at Parque de Eventos). There will be two lectures a day with limited vacancies.<\/p>\n<p>Free registration is available on the show website.
