Fimma and Movelsul aim at business internationalization

Fairs will have International Business Meetings to promote companies in foreign markets

Exports from the Brazilian furniture industry reached US$ 1 billion in 2021, registering the best performance in recent years. Fimma and Movelsul trade fairs, which will be held jointly from March 14 to 17 at Parque de Eventos in Bento Gonçalves, Serra Gaúcha, will spare no efforts to repeat the positive figures. With an eye on the foreign market, the fairs will have International Business Meetings with buyers from at least 18 target countries for the wood and furniture industry, including South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Spain, France and Mexico.

The International Director of Movelsul, Cleberton Ferri, points out that this initiative – one of the most important of the fair – will expand the opportunities for good business during the event. “We invited carefully selected buyers to foster advantageous partnerships both for companies that are starting their internationalization and for those seeking to increase partnerships abroad,” he explains.

While Movelsul focuses on furniture and design, Fimma targets the furniture industry suppliers. According to the International Director of Fimma, Marcelo Haefliger, the International Business Meetings will be of great importance for the segment. “In addition to professional visitors from all Brazilian regions, who certainly move the national economy, we understand that there are still many opportunities to be explored outside the country. The proposal was well accepted, as 50 Fimma exhibitors have confirmed their participation in the meetings with importers”, he comments.

IN ADDITION TO THE MEETINGS

To strengthen networking, the fairs will have an International Lounge – a VIP room that will serve as a support point for exhibitors targeting the foreign market and a resting place for importers. This space will also be the venue for the Fimma International Business Meetings in partnership with Orchestra Brasil – an export project for Brazilian companies that supply the furniture industry, held by the Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis) with the support of Apex-Brasil.

Furnished with pieces by designers Daniela Ziegler, Guga Rodrigues, Marta Manente, Fábio Zogaib and Plataforma4 studio, the International Lounge will feature partners that provide services in different segments: Clemar (logistics); Makelaar (credit insurance); 3S Corps (international consulting); Efficienza (advisory for international trade) and Avanti Cidadania (specialist in Italian citizenship).

REGISTRATION OF VISITORS

This year, the registration to visit Fimma and Movelsul is entirely online. Simply access the website of one of the fairs and fill out the required data, print the badge and present it on the days of the event (one registration gives access to both fairs).
