Countdown: Movelsul Brasil 2020 is two months away!

exhibits its new products to the national retailers and importers from March 16 to 19, 2020 in Bento Gonçalves

In two months, the national furniture industry will be gathered in Bento Gonçalves to exhibit this season’s launches to at least 30 thousand professional visitors at Movelsul Brasil 2020, Latin America’s largest furniture fair for shopkeepers and importers, which will take place from March 16 to 19, 2020. Approximately 97% of the exhibit spaces have been sold and 250 exhibitors are expected to show high-end interior design products, besides custom-designed and corporate furniture.

The Furniture Industry Association of Bento Gonçalves (Sindmóveis), the organizer of Movelsul Brasil, foresees positive results for the furniture sector in 2020, driven by the opportunities that the fair will create. This economic activity has improved in recent months, and the 2019 indicators – not available yet – are expected to have favored furniture manufacturing, despite the general drop in the industry.

Focusing on generating qualified business

Sindmóveis will contribute R$ 1 million to bring to the next Movelsul Brasil 300 national retailers and 100 importers with great business potential. Pavilion C, considered an incubator for small companies, will feature newcomers and those returning to Movelsul Brasil to present all their full potential for innovation, exhibiting products with value-added design and high and medium end lines.

In 2020, the show will have 33% of new exhibitors and companies that have reentered the fair, which demonstrates the sector’s inclination to investments for the economic resumption. The attractions of the fair include the Salão Design Award stand showcasing this year’s winners, 100 foreign buyers invited by Movelsul Brasil and a group of 300 national retailers with high business potential also invited by the event – a part of this group is going to negotiate with the corporate furniture exhibitors and design studios.

The president of Sindmóveis, Vinicius Benini, points out that Movelsul Brasil’s strategy to enhance the synergy between the industry and buyers involves attracting shopkeepers from the e-commerce and corporate furniture segment, diversifying the mix of exhibitors and creating inspiring spaces within the fair. “Movelsul Brasil will definitely be vital at this time of recovery of the furniture market”, he says.
